The Slim Jeans, The Regular Jeans, The Loose Jeans
The Slim Jeans
Designed for a clean, close silhouette, the Slim Jeans have a tapered silhouette with a slim leg and ankle-length cut. For all Slim Jeans apart from the Raw Denim we source denim with a hint of stretch for increased wearability and comfort.
Blue Washes
We use Candiani, IT, organic cotton 3/1 twill denim - a traditional weight and structure - for our mid blue and light blue washes. We use a stone wash with bleach to expose the undyed core of the warp yarns. The result is a fabric with muted highs and lows and a homogenous, clean marble and considerable color depth preserved. These washes are stable but will continue to fade over time.
Raw Denim
Our raw (dry) organic cotton denim from Kurabo, JP, is completely unwashed. Made from a heritage ring-spun yarn that gives the weave a naturally uneven surface, and rope dyed - dipped seven times in indigo according to traditional methods - the denim will fade in exposed areas but stay deep blue until it is washed. Upon first wash the excess color will rinse out to reveal high contrast fades. The longer you wear raw denim before washing the first time, the more contrast the faded areas will get. If you wash raw denim right away, you’ll get a stable, knocked-back dark blue look instead.
Black Wash
Our black denim is made from organic cotton 3/1 twill, but unlike the washed and blue denim, both the warp and weft yarns are dyed, meaning the black shade of the denim will stay black and fade with low contrast over time. The finished jeans are simply rinse washed to knock back the sheen for a solid, matte black appearance.
