Finishing
Robecchetto Con Induno, Italy Est. 1938-01-01
Candiani operate a fully vertically integrated supply chain, covering spinning, dyeing, weaving and finishing of their denim fabrics. Now run by the fourth generation of the founding family. Luigi the founder started with a small production of workwear fabrics, afterwards his son Primo converted the weaving facility into a denim mill. Next in line Gianluigi refined their focus to pioneer premium denim. Nowadays Alberto leads the mill with the aim of becoming “the greenest textile company in the blue world”. When the area surrounding Candiani's facilities was converted to a protected nature reserve in the 1970's, Candiani embraced increased requirements on social and environmental impact, making them a pioneer in responsible manufacturing. Candiani have been recycling all cotton waste since 1976. They started water recycling for reuse in their own plants in the 1990s, invested in heat recovery systems in the early 2000's and started with post consumer recycled fabrics in the 2010's. As part of the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) initiative they have completely eliminated the use of hazardous chemicals from their operations and signed Greenpeace’s Detox Commitment. Candiani have developed proprietary processes as well, including a dyeing technique with a superficial yarn penetration, which allows for dyes to easily be washed away during the industrial laundry process to achieve a faded aesthetic, while saving water and chemicals. Candiani fabrics are, among others, GOTS and Oeko-Tex certified.

Cotton is the most used natural fabric worldwide. There are many types of cotton fabrics available and many uses for it. To be safe, we suggest you have a look at the care instructions for the specific item before washing. As a natural fiber, cotton is prone to shrinkage - the looser/more elastic the knit, the more potential shrinkage. At Asket we prewash all our clothing to eliminate shrinkage, but this is not always the case for cotton clothing. This is a general guide of how to care for cotton clothes, helping you make your garments look better and last longer.
To extend the life of our product, we take back any unwanted Asket garments - no matter their condition or age. In exchange, you'll receive a reward voucher based on the type(s) of garments you return. Your sent in garments will be handled for resale at our Bondegatan Restore location.
