Materials
We believe in the use of natural, mono-materials. Natural, unblended fibres are renewable, recyclable and biodegradable. They come with age old, natural qualities such as breathability, moisture absorption and heat retention. They feel good on your skin. They age and acquire patina, signs of usage that capture memories and build affection over time.
We source exclusively natural fibers for our main materials. In 2025 we're taking delivery of the last garments made from synthetic main materials, limiting the use of synthetics to secondary yarns for stretch and reinforcement purposes only.
Organic Cotton
Cotton is a natural, biodegradable fiber that can be recycled mechanically or chemically, but its cultivation requires significant water and land. We source only organic cotton, working with certified suppliers to prevent the use of insecticides and pesticides and the release of harmful substances.
NATIVA™ Regenerative Merino Wool
Merino wool is a naturally renewable and biodegradable fiber known for its softness, temperature-regulating, and moisture-wicking properties. We source exclusively NATIVA™ certified 100% traceable, mulesing-free Merino wool from regenerative farming programs.
Linen (European Flax)
Linen is a natural and biodegradable fiber made from the flax plant, requiring no irrigation and minimal water for cultivation. Known for its breathability and lightness, linen is ideal for summer garments. We source linen exclusively from European flax farms.
Recycled Cashmere
Cashmere is a luxurious and warm fiber from cashmere goats, prized for its softness. We source recycled cashmere from post-consumer waste, such as old sweaters, to create new fibers while consuming far less resources than virgin cashmere.
Recycled Synthetics (GRS)
Synthetic fabrics like polyester and nylon are derived from petroleum. Recycled synthetics, are less resource intense and less polluting. We no longer source synthetic fibers for main materials, but for reinforcement only.
