Our denim finishing plant is a family owned facility run by Watanabe San and located in Kurashiki - also known as Japan's Denim Valley. In the finishing process of denim often lies the secret ingredient to the characteristics of the fabric. While we're not allowed to disclose the exact process, we were allowed to see all steps from sanforization to the burning of excess fibers, stabilization and the stringent quality controls that the fabric must pass. Every centimeter of fabric is spot checked for irregularities and controled for shrinkage and stability.
