From Anjo, Japan, To Urbania, Italy

Our washed Denim are made on the same foundation as our Raw Denim. Their journey starts with the one thing that matters the most in denim: The fabric. Raw, Japanese mid-weight denim, woven from a yarn developed in Aichi, Japan, in the 1970s. Ring spun, as opposed to open end, for a naturally irregular surface. Today, the yarn is spun from 15% leftover cotton. Thereafter, it's rope-dyed for superior depth, using a proprietary cold-dye technique to reduce energy consumption. Finally, the undyed weft yarn is woven with the dyed warp yarns on clean-energy powered looms, creating that characteristic denim twill structure. The fabric is then transported to Italy, where it's cut and sewn before being carefully washed. The wash softens up the rigid raw fabric while toning down the indigo of the warp thread and allowing the undyed weft to surface, creating two timeless shades of blue: Stone Wash and Stone Bleach.
