Located in Anjo, 200km east of Osaka, this mill was the first ever in Japan to make denim yarns. In 1975 they developed a ring spun yarn that became the foundation of Japenese denim as we know it today. Seventy years later, the mill still relies on its '50s machinery lending their iconic yarns a naturally uneven surface - the secrete ingredient for beautifully aging raw denim. Merging heritage with modern technology, their facilities also house their very own R&D department, working on the increased use of recycled materials and reduction of the environmental footprint of the mill.
