With The Heavy Twill Chino, we wanted to create a workwear-type trouser for everyday use. A Chino sturdy enough to endure the endless fabric- and seam-stressing situations in everyday life. So naturally, apart from its roomy silhouette and simple, yet robust detailing, its most striking feature is the fabric: We entrusted one of our most reliable fabric partners - our Milan-based mill that supplies the fabrics for our Chino, The Shorts, The Overshirt and The Flannel Shirt - with the task to create an all Italian fabric up for the task. Inspired by the Peruvian army uniform, it's a compact, resilient 3/1 twill with that characteristic twill structure, woven from 2-ply yarns - twisted from two sets of yarns - for extra tear strength. The result is a compact yet breathable fabric, that resembles Raw Denim more than your average chino fabric. Not only does the heavy-weight fabric give a beautiful structure and drape, it's the foundation of a trouser made to be worn everyday, for years on end and only gets softer and more beautiful with time.
