In June 2017 we stepped into Dom's studio and atelier 20 minutes west of Florence, Italy, for the first time. Dom, the owner and manager of The Belt Factory, with half British half Italian origin came to Florence in the early 90s to learn about the Florentine artisanship in accessories and leather goods. After five years in town he decided to start his own studio to focus solely on perfecting one item: Belts. His profound nerdiness and dedication to quality had us immediately convinced. Today his factory employs 11 leather craftsmen and their focus and expertise have attracted customers from all over the world.
